Can't wait for the second event from The Sprawwl, a reading series I've been helping to organize! Join us at Beyond Baroque Literary | Arts Center in Venice on December 7th, 2019 at 8 PM.

In March 2020 I'll be on a panel at the AWP Conference: "What's Poetry Got to Do With it? Creative Writing in the Wider World." Looking forward to a great conversation with co-panelists Samantha Fain, Patrycja Humienik and Helena Mesa.


PAST

On June 3rd, 2019 we held the very first reading of The Sprawwl literary series at Boston Court Theater. It was a great success!

April 17th, 2019: part of a panel on the Humanities and the Environment, 12-1 at the Hive, Pomona College.

April 6th, 2019 from 10-3: reading poetry in the open air with Fourth Sundays: Poetry in the Garden at Santa Ana Botanical Garden, Claremont.

March 28-31: Attending AWP Portland (first time at AWP!). I'll be in the lineup of an awesome offsite reading on March 30th from 7-9 PM at Cider Riot.

March 24th, 2019: Excited to be a featured reader in the reading series "Fourth Sundays: Poetry at the Claremont Library" along with Andrea Carter Brown.

​January 2-12, 2019: traveled to Vietnam to learn about religion and traditional medicine as part of an EnviroLab Asia​ Faculty Research Lab. 

​November 16th, 2018: presented (in absentia due to illness) as part of the SORAAAD Workshop on Race and the Analytic Study of Religion at the American Academy of Religion Annual Meeting, Denver, CO.​
